The BLAZE baseball season began this past week with its first practice of the season. Tomorrow evening is their first scrimmage game. Needless to say Park still has the golf itch still and is not keen on playing ball yet, not to mention he needs new shoes and pants as he has grown since last time he played (last July).
The plan for now is to have him play with Blaze through the end of the year and then switch over to high school ball. In January the high school has a camp then tryouts. So hopefully by mid January we will know if Parker made the high school baseball team. We've heard cuts are going to be tough this year, a lot of kids are trying out this season. The booster club is ramping up and has quite a bit of fundraisers in store...does anyone need a ESPN magazine? Blaze is doing a Gold Canyon Candle fundraiser which we just got through with Lauren's DECA class -- They are killing me with this stuff - LOL.
The Blaze will continue to play ball through early spring not unless they get hit with too many vacancy spots due to Jr. High ball. They are also talking about a having a party sometime in February acknowledging those who have been with the team since they were 9 year olds. We have been pulling out old photos and it is fun to see how they have grown up. (most are taller than me these days - yes I know that isn't too hard to do, I am short!).

NO ESPN MAGAZINE! We don't get to see Charlie enough as it is without him disappearing to go read.
Why can't they sell stuff like purses and manicures? I'd be up for that!
How about a cold, hard cash donation instead? Or maybe we could "buy" Parker for a week next summer? We'd love to have him visit. Louisa is ready for him to teach her a new trick!!
You are too funny. I agree we need more girlie things to sell.
I am sure Park would love to come out for a visit as long as he could play golf with his uncles.
